C3 Corporation Hosts Event for Mercury Marine Project
MerCruiser engines running at full speed filled the C3 Technology Center with the sound of success on Wednesday. The demonstration was part of an appreciation event for everyone involved in the Mercury Marine engine test cell project. Attendees included project managers, purchasing managers, assemblers, and engineers from C3 Corporation, Mercury Marine, Rockwell Automation, and Werner Electric.
“This was a perfect example of how local companies can work together to reach a common goal,” said Joe Van De Hey, President of C3 Corporation.
That has been the story of this project from the beginning. With Mercury Marine moving the MerCruiser line to Wisconsin, C3 winning the bid for the test cell project, Werner Electric chosen as the primary electrical supplier, and Rockwell Automation being the primary automation supplier, it was truly a joint venture.
The appreciation event was an opportunity to thank everyone for six months of hard work and excellence on the project. The event included lunch, a presentation and overview of the project, a presentation of final manuals, plaques to commemorate the successful completion, gifts from C3 Corporation, and a live test run.
“I am proud to see local business passionate and excited about new manufacturing opportunities. We are thankful that Mercury brought this manufacturing project to Wisconsin. It matters to everyone in this room and will affect workers for years to come,” said Van De Hey.
