President, CEO, and Founder of C3 Corporation, Joe Van De Hey, is the first person to tell you that titles mean nothing in his company. “It is the relationships with employees, clients, and vendor partners that are foundational to everything we do,” he says. It isn’t about titles or size, because he believes that the size of the company doesn’t matter as much as the heart. It is those heart and soul relationships that make C3 successful in a wide spectrum of projects in a variety of industries. Joe is proud of the industry partnerships he has built over the years and thankful that he can count many of his business partners as friends. He inspires his staff to be all they can be so they can provide the best solutions to the customers they serve. Pouring into someone and watching them grow and develop is what makes a good day at the office. Seeing that person shine at what they do best is what inspires him to lead his team. Growing up on a farm, his parents taught him the value of hard work. He started driving a tractor when he was six. When something broke, his dad taught him how to assess the problem and find a solution. He still uses some of those early lessons in engineering today. His function at C3 is simple. He calls himself the gatekeeper. Everything that comes in the front door and leaves out the back is his responsibility. His vast knowledge and expertise of engineering and manufacturing, added to his keen business sense, makes Joe an ally to his customers. If they have a problem they can’t fix, they turn to him and trust that an innovative solution will be found. On the rare day off, you will find Joe with his family enjoying Packer, Brewers, or Badgers games. When he finds time to get away, he heads for the northwoods to hunt and fish. Fall is his favorite season, and he finds rejuvenation in the quiet isolation of a hunting stand. Contact Joe
